Proxxon 24002, a versatile power tool designed for processing a wide range of materials, including steel, brass, aluminium, and plastic. This machine boasts a tip width of 250 mm, a tip height of 70 mm, and a tip height over support of 43 mm, ensuring precise and efficient operations.

The machine bed is made of machine-cast material with a wide-legged prism guide, providing a vibration-free work environment even under high loads. The rear flange allows for the attachment of the cutter PF 230, enhancing the tool's versatility.

The headstock is crafted from die-cast aluminium, housing a precision-mounted main spindle with a concentricity without chuck of 1/100 mm and a 10.5 mm passage. The lining side measures 70 mm to 14 mm hollow drilled and features an MK 2 mount. A rotary switch enables the switching of the automatic feed via lead and pull spindle, with options for 0.05 or 0.1 mm/U.

The tailstock is also made of die-cast aluminium, with a pinole diameter of 20 mm, extendable up to 30 mm with a millimetre scale, an MK 1 socket, and a running grain tip.

The support is a zinc die-cast bed sledge, while the cross slide and top slide are made of steel, offering adjustments of 60 or 45 mm. A reversible steel holder for turning steels, size 8 x 8 mm, is also included.

The drive system features a quiet DC special motor with a 3-stage belt gear, providing speed ranges from 300 to 900 rpm and 3,000 rpm. The additional speed control (full wave electronics) allows for further adjustment to 100 - 300 or 1,000 rpm, with clockwise and anti-clockwise rotation. The machine is equipped with a relay switch that includes an emergency stop function and restart protection.

The high-quality 3-jaw lining rotary chuck, adhering to DIN 8386 class 1 (concentricity tolerance 0.04 mm), offers a clamping range of 2 - 75 mm thanks to the reversible jaws. The lathe chuck protection is equipped with a safety shutdown feature.

The hand wheels are made of aluminium with an adjustable scale ring, providing precise measurements (1 line = 0.05 mm, 1 turn = 1 mm). The thread cutting device features interchangeable wheels for left and right threads of the most important gradients (0.5 - 0.625 - 0.7 - 0.75 - 0.8 - 1 - 1.25 - 1.5).

Other technical specifications include a power supply of 230 V, 50/60 Hz, and dimensions of L 560, D 270, H 170 mm, with a weight of approximately 12 kg.
