Featuring a stable frame with a pivotal fixture at the top and an extendable lower wire fixture, the Thermocut 12/E offers a maximum extension of 7.9 inches (200 mm) and a maximum work piece height of 5.9 inches (150 mm). This allows you to cut intricate shapes and profiles with ease.
One of the standout features of this hot wire cutter is its variable cutting wire temperature control. By simply turning a knob, you can adjust the temperature from approximately 300°F to 660°F (150°C to 350°C), allowing you to achieve perfect cuts depending on the material density and thickness, with moderate pressure and at medium temperatures. The quick 1-second heat-up time ensures you can start cutting immediately.
Included with the Thermocut 12/E are 5 shapable cutting wires, each measuring 11.4 inches (285 mm) and 20 gauge (0.85 mm) in size. These wires can be formed by hand or with pliers to create any desired shape or profile.
Designed for user safety and convenience, the Thermocut 12/E features a trigger finger on/off switch and is intended to be used in conjunction with the Proxxon 38706 NG 2/S Micromot 12V transformer, sold separately.
